The range of special materials in the garment industry is highly diverse, with each material having its own advantages and disadvantages. Depending on the product requirements, customers choose fabric types, embroidery methods, or printing techniques. When combined with different techniques, each material creates unique effects, enhancing both aesthetics and overall quality.
Yung Chang specializes in manufacturing labels, transparent labels, plastic logos, etc. Keeping up with market trends, Yung Chang has expanded its production to include special materials such as Jacquard fabric, Webbing, Sequin, Furry Embroidered Fabric, and Paper Tags to offer a diverse supply. So, what are the strengths of these materials? Can they replace or be more cost-effective than traditional types? Let’s explore with YC!
1. Special Material – Jacquard Fabric
Jacquard is not a type of fabric but rather an embroidery technique. The result of this technique is fabric used for interior decoration, especially in curtains, blankets, bed sheets, or detailed patterns on luxury bags and shoes.

What makes Jacquard fabric special is that it does not use printing or embroidery to create patterns but relies entirely on weaving techniques. The choice of fibers varies depending on the purpose of use, with polyester, cotton, and silk being the most common.

Favored by luxury fashion brands, Jacquard fabric offers high durability, excellent elasticity, exceptional aesthetics, uniqueness, and a wide range of colors, providing a visually appealing experience for the wearer.
However, the biggest drawback of this fabric is maintenance:
- Avoid direct sunlight exposure
- Limit washing with strong detergents
- Keep water temperature below 30°C
2. Special Material – Webbing
Another special product at Yung Chang is Webbing—woven fabric strips made from polyester fibers with varying lengths and weights. Polyester is the most preferred material in fashion due to its good aesthetics, mold resistance, and low water absorption. Webbing is widely used in safety gear, sportswear, fashion accessories, furniture, etc.

Apart from polyester, Webbing can also be made from nylon and polypropylene, which are commonly used in safety equipment and protective gear.
Webbing is specifically designed for outdoor conditions, commonly used for heavy-duty straps, such as lifting slings. Therefore, high durability and strength are essential features of Webbing materials.
3.What is Sequin Fabric?
Sequin fabric consists of shimmering, glittery embellishments that are perfect for eye-catching designs. Most sequins are made from plastic and come in various colors and shapes like circles, squares, and rectangles, depending on the intended use.
In fashion, sequins are often used for party outfits or as decorative elements on home textiles such as cushions, blankets, and curtains.
Sequin fabrics are commonly used in home decor and evening gowns

To maintain Sequin fabric, avoid:
- Strong rubbing or excessive washing
- Direct exposure to sunlight
4.How Are Paper Tags Manufactured?
Paper tags, labels, and hangtags are essential branding elements found on every new product. Printed labels, plastic logos, and paper tags are crucial for brand identity when launching products in the market.

To produce paper tags, manufacturers need content drafts for the front of the tag and carry out the printing process. After printing, the ink cannot be expanded, and a layer of lamination may be applied to both sides of the tag (if requested). Next, manufacturers will “shape” the tags, which can be square, rectangular, circular, or customized according to the order requirements. Finally, the tags are placed into a drilling machine to create holes for attaching them to labels.
